WONV - Presentation

The main objectives of this workshop are to provide a forum for dissemination of high quality papers in the field of non-market valuation and to animate a network of people that will meet every year.

The first edition of the workshop took place at the University Institute of Technology of Nantes in 2013.

The second edition will take place at Aix-Marseille University (AMSE-GREQAM-IDEP) in Aix-en-Provence, on 25-26 June 2014, and welcome three keynote speakers:

- James HAMMITT (Harvard University, USA; and Toulouse School of Economics, France),

- Nick HANLEY (University of Stirling, UK)

- Jason SHOGREN (University of Wyoming, USA).

Both theoretical and applied papers dealing with stated preference methods (contingent valuation, choice experiment) or revealed preference methods (travel cost method, hedonic pricing method) can be submitted. Papers dealing with the Mediterranean region and the valuation of ecosystem services are welcome.

The workshop is open to both young and experienced researchers. PhD students are encouraged to submit a paper. Papers presented will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Policy and either Revue Economique or Economie Publique/Public Economics.

Full paper submission deadline is March 15, 2014.
